Elijah’s Entourage, Inc. was inspired by a remarkable young boy named Elijah — a warrior whose strength, love, and compassion changed everyone he met. Elijah was diagnosed with BPDCN, a rare blood disorder and the first case at Connecticut Children's Medical Center, and endured intense treatment with bravery beyond his years. Through it all, he gave hugs freely and shared joy everywhere he went. We were inspired by Simon say’s give me a hug through a very dear friend and sponsor who chooses to remain to stay anonymous.

 

Elijah’s journey revealed a gap in care for children after treatment — the emotional and social healing that comes once the hospital visits stop. Elijah taught us that love, connection, and kindness are the greatest healers of all. His smile, hugs and warm spirit continues to shine through each and every day and we are continually grateful that Elijah has come through this journey as a vibrant and healthy warrior. And through this nonprofit, reminding us daily: “Simon says, give me a hug.” Changing Humanity one hug at a time.
